Dealing With the Loss of a Loved One

This is the hardest thing that one can ever decide to do after the death of someone very close. This can be a spouse, parent, child or sibling. The good thing is time heals all wounds. I lost my mum, I would not have believed it. The pain was intense and I thought that I would never get over it. Today, I do not mourn her lose and I am grateful to God for the time we shared together. I had to go through a very hard part of my life alone; you do not have to do it. You have a God who loves you and he is saying that he will never leave nor forsake you no matter what.

Trust him when he says that all things work for good to those who trust in him. Something good will come out of your loss and pain. You are going through it right now so as you can be an encouragement to someone else in the future. How will you tell a person in pain that you understand yet you have not gone through it yourself? Only the person who has been in the exact situation can be able to know what it really means to lose a loved one.

As you mourn your loss, accept it. Deal with it anyway possible but do not let it take over your life. You have to continue living and fulfill the purpose God created you for no matter what. Ask God to bless you with peace that surpasses all human understanding. May he keep your mind and soul in Christ Jesus.
